(10 August 1904) Battle of the Russo-Japanese War, fought when Czar Nicholas II ordered Admiral Vitgeft to break out of Port Arthur (Lushun) and join the Vladivostok fleet. Admiral Heihachiro Togo intercepted him; Vitgeft was killed and his fleet forced back.
