Persian dynasty ruling Transoxiana and Khorasan (819-1005). Victory over the Saffarids in 900 and the reign of Nasr (914-43) marked the apogee of their power, reflected in the sophisticated court at Bokhara. The Kharakhanid invasions of the later 10th century put an end to the dynasty.
