Qarakhanid Turks

A dynasty ruling in central Asia between the 10th and 13th centuries. Though rivals to the Samanids, they never formed a unitary state but remained a loose tribal grouping, and in the mid-11th century split into two khanates. Overshadowed by the mid-12th century, the dynasty collapsed in 1210.
