Kyakhta, Treaty of

Agreement between Russia and China, of 21 October 1727, which was to remain in force until the mid-19th century. The agreement confirmed and extended the Treaty of Nerchinsk, establishing the Russo-Chinese frontier along the Argun river and Stanavoy mountains.
