Atlantic Charter

Statement of principles for the organization of the postwar world issued by Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt in August 1941, although the USA had not yet entered World War II. Its points included a defense of the right of people to choose their government and a rejection of territorial aggrandizement.
