Armagnac dynasty

Ruling family of Armagnac, originating in the 10th century, that held power from 1319 to 1525. It formed an opposing faction (also known as the Orloanists) to the Burgundian party, vying for control of King Charles VI of France. The conflict ended with the Treaty of Arras (1435), which reconciled the two sides.
