Apache
Native people of the southwestern United States, principally Arizona. Expert in guerrilla combat, the Apache fought on foot, using horses for transport. They resisted the US government and removal to reservations in three major wars (1861-71, 1873, 1885-86). Two principal chieftains were Cochise and Geronimo.
