Agricultural Revolution

The replacement of subsistence agriculture with commercial farming, beginning in England and the Netherlands in the 18th century. It introduced large-scale enclosures and new crops and techniques, such as Jethro Tull's seed drill (1701). It laid the economic foundations of the Industrial Revolution.
