Achemenes

Founding ancestor of the Achemenid royal dynasty of Persia. He probably ruled the kingdom of Parsumash in western Iran in the early 7th century BC as a vassal of the Median empire. Achemenes may have led an army against King Sennacherib of Assyria in 681 BC.
