The Longman / History Today Picture Research Award

The Longman / History Today Picture Award is given for creative historical picture research demonstrating the resourcefulness and skill of a researcher through imaginative use of a wide, preferably unusual, variety of material from a range of sources.
Here's the shortlist for this year:
Pauline Hubner for The Great Builders, edited by Kenneth Powell (Thames & Hudson)
Louise Thomas for Gay Life Stories by Robert Aldrich (Thames & Hudson)
Roger Moorhouse for Vanished Kingdoms by Norman Davies (Allen Lane)
The winner will be announced on January 9th, 2013 at the Royal Society, London.
